Regular Season Round 12: DSN - Orissaare 87-52

Rather predictable result in Riga where twenty first ranked Latvian DSN (4-3) smashed bottom-ranked Estonian Orissaare (1-13) 87-52 on Friday. The game without a history. DSN led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Orissaare to just 5 points in second quarter. DSN dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Orissaare's 24. DSN forced 20 Orissaare turnovers and outrebounded them 46-33 including a 25-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Roberts Erins (180-3) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and guard Ralfs Supe (183-3) who added 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four DSN players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Estonian Eke Ruutel with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Henrik Urbanik (-4) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Orissaare's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. DSN moved-up to seventeenth place. Orissaare lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. DSN will face league's leader SK Nord in Tallin in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Orissaare will play at home against Turiba RC (#20) and hope to win that game.
