Regular Season Round 12: Erkmaa - Turiba RC 68-57

Not a big story in a game in Tartu where 21th ranked Latvian Turiba RC (3-10) was defeated by third ranked Estonian Erkmaa (12-2) 68-57 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Erkmaa. Turiba RC was better in second period 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Turiba RC to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Rando Roos (178-4) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists and guard Egert Erm (189-4) who added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Erkmaa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Karlis Birznieks (165-4) with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Roberts Pavlovskis scored 13 points. Turiba RC's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Erkmaa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Turiba RC dropped to the nineteenth position with ten games lost. Erkmaa will face Gulbene (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turiba RC will play against Orissaare (#26) in Parnu and hope to win that game.
