Very expected game when 17th ranked Espoo (4-9) was crushed at home by tenth ranked Viimsi (9-6) 63-34 on Friday. The game without a history. Viimsi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Espoo to just 7 points in second and third quarters. Worth to mention a great performance of Ron Laanemaa (-4) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds and Rando Roose (-4) who added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Estonian forward Kasperi Niemela (185) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Matias Soisalo scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Espoo's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Viimsi have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Espoo lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighteenth position with nine games lost. Viimsi will face Basketbola klase (#24) in Riga in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Espoo will play at home against the league's leader SK Nord (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
