Regular Season Round 12: Viimsi - Luja-Lukko 99-38

Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Estonian Viimsi (9-6) outscored at home 18th ranked Finnish Luja-Lukko (3-10) 99-38 on Friday. The game without a history. Viimsi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Luja-Lukko to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Viimsi dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Luja-Lukko's 14. Viimsi forced 29 Luja-Lukko turnovers and outrebounded them 47-19 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Kaur-Erik Luus (205-4) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and Martten Trempi who added 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Viimsi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lauri Joutsimo with 9 points and Kaius Raisamo scored 7 points and 4 steals. Viimsi have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Luja-Lukko lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the nineteenth position with ten games lost. Viimsi will face Basketbola klase (#24) in Riga in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Luja-Lukko will play on the road against Tartu (#3) and hope to win that game.
