A very interesting game took place in San Antonio. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Magic (27-33) to fifth ranked Spurs (25-33) 114-113 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Magic. Spurs players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a good game for Canadian swingman Trey Lyles (206-95, college: Kentucky) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Rudy Gay (203-86, college: UConn) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Spurs' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. French Evan Fournier (198-92) answered with 23 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Terrence Ross (201-91, college: Washington) added 21 points in the effort for Magic. Five Spurs and four Magic players scored in double figures. Spurs moved-up to fourth place. Magic at the other side keeps the second position with 33 games lost.
