Regular Season Round 21: Neptune - DCU Saints 77-86

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked DCU Saints (9-11) beat 7th ranked Neptune (9-10) in Cork 86-77. They outrebounded Neptune 51-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Michael Bonaparte (196-82, college: Coll.of the Ozarks) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international swingman Kevin Lacey (192-89) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) who recorded 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Spanish forward Nil Sabita (200) added 16 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptune's coach Lehmon Colbert tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. DCU Saints maintains ninth place with 9-11 record. Neptune lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. DCU Saints' next round opponent will be Maree (#10) in Galway.
