The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Hogsbo (14-3) in Goteborg on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by second ranked Lulea Basket (13-2) 100-67. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Hogsbo. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Lulea Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lulea Basket had a 33-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Natisha Hiedeman (173-97, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 assists. The former international forward Allis Nystrom (185-93) contributed with 8 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Four Lulea Basket players scored in double figures. Canadian point guard Cassandra Nofuente (172-93) answered with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and American center Kourtni Perry (188-93, college: Central State) added 11 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Hogsbo. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lulea Basket maintains second place with 13-2 record behind leader Hogsbo. Hogsbo at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Lulea Basket are looking forward to face Wetterbygden (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Hogsbo will play against Alvik Basket (#3) in Stockholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
