Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Pozuelo (5-17) lost on the road to first ranked Alcobendas (18-3) 87-71 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) who helped to win the game recording 6 points and 17 rebounds. Power forward Roberto Morentin (204-81, college: UCF) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Alberto Arias (188-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and guard Borja Lopez (187-93) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pozuelo. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Alcobendas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 18-3 record. Pozuelo lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. Alcobendas will face Tenerife Naut. (#7) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the next round where they are favorite. Pozuelo will play at home against Estudiantes B (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
