Blackbirds cruised past Mustangs to sweep the series. The game was mostly controlled by Blackbirds. Mustangs was better in fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Blackbirds dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Mustangs' 22. The former international forward Sebastian Koch (201-88) scored 27 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Bernhard Koch (190-91) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Blackbirds players scored in double figures. Blackbirds' coach Daniel Muellner felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. German point guard Melchior Koenig (185-1) responded with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Julian Alper (180-0) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds.
