No shocking result in a game in Zagreb where second ranked Tresnjevka (14-1) defeated 5th ranked ZKK Split (5-10) 78-61 on Saturday. Tresnjevka dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to ZKK Split's 26. Tresnjevka forced 23 ZKK Split turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by ZKK Split's players. It was a great evening for Anja Majstorovic (184-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Center Marta Savic (188-1) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Tresnjevka players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Ana Mise (175-0) with 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Ivana Brnas (180-97) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Tresnjevka. They maintain second place with 14-1 record having just one point less than leader Ragusa. ZKK Split at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Zadar and Zagreb. Tresnjevka will meet Sibenik (#4) on the road in the next round. ZKK Split will play against ZKK Medvescak and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
