Important game to mention about took place in Joensuu. Seventh ranked Kataja (16-17) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked BC Nokia (16-18) 89-86 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BC Nokia. BC Nokia was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 26-19 charge of Kataja, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Brandon Walters (208-95, college: MTSU) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Point guard Niko Mattila (192-94) came up with 22 points and 6 assists and American forward Stacy Davis (199-94, college: Pepperdine, agency: Slash Sports) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for BC Nokia in the defeat. BC Nokia's coach Greg Gibson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kataja moved-up to sixth place. BC Nokia at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 18 games lost. Kataja will play against league's second-placed Vilpas in Salo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Nokia will play at home against Lahti (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
