Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Anatolia (8-12) and Tritonas S. (7-12), which took place in Athens. Higher ranked Anatolia lost to fourteenth ranked Tritonas S. in a road game 85-89 on Saturday. Tritonas S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Anatolia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Nikos Kokkalis (198-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Nikolaos Koutoulas (178-86) contributed with 5 points and 16 assists for the winners. Sotiris Karapostolou (195-78, college: S.New Hampshire) replied with 34 points (!!!) (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and power forward Giorgos Brozos (198-86, college: Furman) added 22 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Anatolia. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tritonas S. moved-up to eleventh place. Anatolia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Tritonas S.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Pagrati.
