Regular Season Round 22: Univ.Valladolid - La Antigua 77-86

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Univ.Valladolid (6-13) lost at home to seventh ranked La Antigua (10-9) 86-77 on Saturday. La Antigua dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Univ.Valladolid's 30. La Antigua forced 19 Univ.Valladolid turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for American Nick Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Montenegrin center Milo Vukcevic (200-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five La Antigua players scored in double figures. Javier Martinez (187-97) replied with 16 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Alejandro Pescador (180-97) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Univ.Valladolid. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. La Antigua have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in Group A-B, which they share with Obradoiro S. Loser Univ.Valladolid keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. La Antigua will face Obradoiro S. (#6) in Santiago de Comp in the next round. Univ.Valladolid will play at home against PBB (#4) and hope to win that game.
