Regular Season Round 25: Cholet - Chalon 93-99

There was an upset when higher ranked Cholet Basket (14-10) lost at home to twelfth ranked Chalon/Saor (10-14) 99-93 on Saturday. Chalon/Saor shot 60.7 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. Chalon/Saor looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Cholet Basket was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Justin Robinson (173-95, college: Monmouth) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists. His fellow American import Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona, agency: Network Sports International) contributed with 16 points and 8 assists for the winners. American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 assists and Greek power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay) added 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Cholet Basket. Five Chalon/Saor and four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Chalon/Saor. They moved-up to tenth place. Loser Cholet Basket keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Chalon/Saor will face SIG Strasbourg (#11) at home in the next round.
