Regular Season Round 25: Le Mans - Bourg 91-93

Eighth-ranked Le Mans (11-13) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked JL Bourg (16-8). The visitors from Bourg managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected easier game. JL Bourg outrebounded Le Mans 32-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Serbian swingman Danilo Andjusic (195-91, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 13 points. JL Bourg's coach Savo Vucevic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Brandon Taylor (175-94, college: Utah, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 15 points and 7 assists and the former international guard Antoine Eito (186-88) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for JL Bourg. They maintain fifth place with 16-8 record. Le Mans at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Limoges. JL Bourg will play against JSF Nanterre (#7) at home in the next round. Le Mans will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
