Important game to mention about took place in Granada. Fourteenth ranked CB Granada (9-14) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Palma (14-9) 68-67 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. CB Granada forced 20 Palma turnovers. The former international center Guillem Rubio (202-82) saved the victory by scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. Bosnian-Canadian guard Diego Kapelan (190-87, college: McNeese St., agency: Agency) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American center Babatunde Olumuyiwa (203-92, college: USC Upstate) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and forward Alex Hernandez (190-93) added 6 points and 7 assists in the effort for Palma. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. CB Granada moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Huesca. Palma lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Breogan and Palencia. CB Granada will play against higher ranked Leche Rio Breogan (#8) in Lugo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Palma will play at home against the league's second-placed Gipuzkoa and will have a slim chance for a victory.
