Regular Season Round 22: Martorell - Igualada 64-75

Rather predictable result when second ranked Igualada (16-4) won against on the road 6th ranked Martorell (11-8) 75-64 on Saturday. Igualada forced 20 Martorell turnovers. Quite impressive performance for point guard Sergi Carrion (180-97) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Point guard Pau Cami (173-96) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Igualada players scored in double figures. Point guard Ivan Llull (185-92) replied with 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Nil Bria (195-97) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Martorell. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Igualada maintains second position in Group C-A with 16-4 record having just three points less than leader Alcobendas. Loser Martorell keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Igualada will face league's leader Vic at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Martorell will play against Andorra II (#11) and hope to win that game.
