Regular Season Round 22: Zentro Basket - Tenerife Naut. 80-85

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Tenerife Naut. (11-10) beat higher ranked Zentro Basket (12-9) in Madrid 85-80 on Saturday. Tenerife Naut. forced 20 Zentro Basket turnovers. Quite impressive performance for Montenegrin forward Danilo Brnovic (200-0) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. Point guard Alberto Cabrera (178-98) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Erik Persson (190-0, agency: Dynamics Global Management) replied with 17 points and power forward Guillermo Bastante (201-98) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Zentro Basket. Four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Tenerife Naut. moved-up to seventh place in Group B. Loser Zentro Basket keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Tenerife Naut. will face league's leader Alcobendas at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zentro Basket will play against Quintanar (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
