Regular Season Round 13: Viimsi - Tsmoki 59-37

Not a big story in a game when 23th ranked Belarusian Tsmoki (2-13) was outplayed on the road by tenth ranked Estonian Viimsi (9-6) 59-37 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Viimsi. Tsmoki was better in third quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tsmoki to just 4 points in second quarter and to 14 points in first half. Viimsi forced 23 Tsmoki turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ron Laanemaa (-4) fired 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Martten Trempi chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. Pavel Ilyinchik produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and Maksim Lapko added 3 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Tsmoki's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Viimsi have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place. Tsmoki lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twenty third position with 13 games lost. Viimsi will face VerTEAM (#22) in Minsk in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Tsmoki will play on the road against Gulbene and hope to win that game.
