Regular Season Round 15: Mgzavrebi - BC Titebi 78-72

Bottom-ranked Mgzavrebi managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses. This time they won against ninth-ranked BC Titebi in Tbilisi 78-72. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BC Titebi won third quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Mgzavrebi won last quarter 18-14. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for forward Taj Spencer (201-93, college: CBU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Darell Combs (188-93, college: IUPUI) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Mgzavrebi's coach Anatoli Berishvili allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Luke Moyer (185-93, college: John Brown, agency: Interperformances) answered with 20 points and forward Tristin Walley (201-96, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BC Titebi. Mgzavrebi maintains eleventh place with 4-10 record. BC Titebi at the other side keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Mgzavrebi's next round opponent will be higher ranked Rustavi (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
