Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Real Celta Vigo (12-8) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Alcobendas (14-6) 74-56 on Saturday. Alcobendas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Real Celta Vigo's 26. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kiara Kudron (188-94, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Rachel Howard (178-95, college: USF) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Nigerian forward Elo Edeferioka (188-93, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds and American forward Breanna Richardson (185-95, college: Mississippi St.) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Alcobendas moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with Real Canoe. Loser Real Celta Vigo keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Alcobendas will face Pozuelo (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Real Celta Vigo will play against Universitario de Ferrol (#3) and hope to win that game.
