Regular Season Round 19: Njardvik - KR 81-87

Round 19 most important game was a victory of KR over 4th placed Njardvik 87-81 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Njardvik. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Njardvik won third quarter 27-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KR shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 assists. International forward Kristofer Acox (200-93, college: Furman) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Croatian forward Mario Matasovic (203-93, college: Sacred Heart) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and Lithuanian center Aurimas Majauskas (202-93, college: SHSU, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Njardvik. Five KR and four Njardvik players scored in double figures. Defending champion (12-7) moved-up to third place, which they share with Tindastoll. Njardvik at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Haukar. KR is looking forward to face league's leader Stjarnan at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Njardvik will play against Haukar (#6) in Hafnarfjordur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
