Regular Season Round 23: Norrort - Helsingborg 93-82

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Taby Basket (12-9) defeated at home 9th ranked Helsingborg (3-20) 93-82 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Taby Basket. Helsingborg managed to win fourth quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Taby Basket made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for guard Hannes Widell (183-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Jimmy Lundin (184-90) helped adding 8 points and 15 assists. Point guard Niklas Herring (182-99) responded with 30 points and 7 rebounds and guard Anton Persson (180-97) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taby Basket moved-up to fourth place. Helsingborg lost their sixteenth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 20 games lost. Taby Basket will again meet Helsingborg (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Helsingborg will play against Bankeryds and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
