Regular Season Round 20: Westside ET - Huima 80-69

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Westside ET (6-14) beat higher ranked Huima (12-7) in Espoo 80-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Westside ET. Huima was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brazilian guard Guilherme de-Souza (185-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Markus Kataja (188-0) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American power forward Trenton Clayton (206-96, college: Pittsburg St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Tiitus Kuukkanen (193-0) added 20 points in the effort for Huima. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Westside ET moved-up to tenth place in Division. Loser Huima keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Westside ET will face higher ranked Namika Lr (#8) in Lappeenranta in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Huima will play at home against Raholan Pyrkiva (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
