Regular Season Round 8: Cutie Ovals Ojays - Stingerz 69-80

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Cutie Ovals Ojays (6-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Stingerz (7-0) 80-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Stingerz made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Stingerz outrebounded Cutie Ovals Ojays 63-46 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Keroi Lee orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The former international guard Vivian Destin (193-86) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Bryan Matthew (196-76, college: Iona) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Raviel Burton (198-91, college: Missouri Valley) added 10 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Cutie Ovals Ojays. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cutie Ovals Ojays' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stingerz have an impressive seven-game winning streak.
