Sixth ranked Kutaisi (8-6) crushed at home 7th ranked Rustavi (6-7) by 16 points 98-82, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 16 points. Five Kutaisi and four Rustavi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kutaisi. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Olimpi and Vera. Loser Rustavi keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Kutaisi will face Tskhum-Abkhazeti (#10) in Tbilisi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rustavi will play at home against Mgzavrebi and hope to win that game.
