Regular Season Round 20: Korikouvot - MuKi 57-81

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked MuKi (6-12) rolled over higher ranked Korikouvot (9-10) in Kouvola 81-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. MuKi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Korikouvot to just 7 points in fourth quarter. MuKi forced 19 Korikouvot turnovers. Power forward Emil Uotila (198-0) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Joonas Timonen (189-0) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four MuKi players scored in double figures. Forward Henri Permanto (197-1) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and forward Joel Mantynen (197-2) added 12 points in the effort for Korikouvot. MuKi moved-up to tenth place in Division. Loser Korikouvot keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. MuKi will face higher ranked Pyrinto Ak.A (#8) in Tampere in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
