Regular Season Round 14: BC Star - East Ball 51-60

We should mention about the upset which took place in Tallinn, where 13th ranked Estonian BC Star (7-8) lost at home to sixteenth ranked Latvian East Ball (5-3) 51-60 on Sunday. BC Star trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 21-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 51-60 at the end of the game. East Ball dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Star to just 4 points in third quarter. East Ball had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kristaps Neijs had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Valters Mazburss chipped in 18 points during the contest. Joosep Poldre responded with 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Silver-Andreas Kahro (-4) scored 4 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. East Ball moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser BC Star keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost.
