Regular Season Round 14: Erkmaa - SSDA 60-31

Not a big story in a game in Tartu where 15th ranked Russian SSDA (5-8) was outplayed by third ranked Estonian Erkmaa (12-2) 60-31 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Erkmaa. SSDA managed to win fourth quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SSDA to just 5 points in second quarter and to 11 points in first half. Erkmaa held SSDA to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by SSDA's players. Guard Egert Erm (189-4) had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Sander Zirel (-4) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) during the contest. Yaroslav Osipov responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Evgeniy Baukin scored 8 points. Erkmaa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser SSDA dropped to the sixteenth position with eight games lost.
