Very important is a home loss of second ranked Magic (27-34) against fourth ranked Trail Blazers (27-35) on Monday night. Host Magic was crushed by Trail Blazers in Orlando 130-107. Trail Blazers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Magic's 46 and made 16-of-16 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Trail Blazers had a 43-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Guard CJ McCollum (193-91, college: Lehigh) orchestrated the victory by scoring 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Guard Gary Trent-Jr (198-99, college: Duke) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Five Trail Blazers players scored in double figures. Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic (213-90, college: USC) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and guard Terrence Ross (201-91, college: Washington) added 23 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Magic. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trail Blazers maintains fourth place with 27-35 record. Magic at the other side keeps the second position with 34 games lost.
