The most important game in the last round took place in Split between third ranked Split (14-6) and sixth ranked Sibenik (11-9) on Monday night. Split was defeated by Sibenik at home 92-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Split. Sibenik looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and center Ivan Vranes (205-96) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The former international forward Pavle Marcinkovic (197-89, agency: XL Basketball Agency) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: MTSU) scored 9 points and 8 assists. Split's coach Ante Grgurevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sibenik moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Osijek. Split at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Gorica. Sibenik is looking forward to face Alkar (#8) in Sinj in the next round. Split will play on the road against H.Analitica (#12) in Zagreb and is hoping to win this game.
