Very important is a home loss of second ranked Celtics (41-19) against fourth ranked Nets (27-33) on Tuesday night. Host Celtics were defeated by Nets in a tough game in Boston 120-129. They made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game. Nets outrebounded Celtics 63-42 including a 41-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Caris LeVert (201-94, college: Michigan) scored 51 points (!!!) and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and French swingman Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (201-95, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Marcus Smart (193-94, college: Oklahoma St.) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Jaylen Brown (201-96, college: California) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Five Celtics players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nets maintains fourth position with 27-33 record. Loser Celtics keep the second place with 19 games lost. Nets will meet at home higher ranked Grizzlies (#3) in the next day and it may be the game of the week. Celtics will play against Cavaliers in Cleveland and hope to secure a win.
