The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Inter Bratislava (21-5) on the court of fifth ranked Lucenec on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Lucenec 74-66. It was a good game for Ukrainian center Konstantin Anikenko (218-92) who led his team to a victory with 13 points. American Russell Woods (203-94, college: Missouri) contributed with 15 points for the winners. International forward David Abraham (192-96) replied with 16 points and the former international Richard Korner (200-90, agency: 011 Sports) added 13 points in the effort for Inter Bratislava. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lucenec (15-12) moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Inter Bratislava still keeps top position with five games lost. Lucenec are looking forward to face Handlova (#7) on the road in the next round. Inter Bratislava will play against the league's second-placed Prievidza (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
