Very significant was Thunder's (#3, 38-24) victory against 4th placed Pistons (20-42) 114-107. Thunder dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Pistons' 44. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Thunder brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of German-Gambian point guard Dennis Schroeder (181-93) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky) contributed with 27 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Christian Wood (208-95, college: UNLV, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 29 points and 9 rebounds and guard Brandon Knight (190-91, college: Kentucky) added 18 points and 7 assists in the effort for Pistons. Four Thunder and five Pistons players scored in double figures. Pistons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Thunder maintains third place with 38-24 record having three points less than leader Toronto R. Pistons at the other side keep the fourth position with 42 games lost.
