Regular Season Round 25: Politechnika Gd. - Miedzychod 96-72

Rather predictable result in Gdansk where fourth ranked Politechnika Gd. (14-7) smashed 7th ranked Miedzychod (10-10) 96-72 on Wednesday. Politechnika Gd. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Pawel Pawlowski (196-82) stepped up and scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Patryk Piszczatowski (190-98) chipped in 15 points. Four Politechnika Gd. players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international point guard Jaroslaw Kalinowski (180-79) responded with 14 points and 6 assists and Jakub Simon (202-96) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Politechnika Gd. maintains fourth place in Group A with 14-7 record. Miedzychod lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Politechnika Gd. will face Gniezno (#6) on the road in the next round. Miedzychod will play against Koszalin Zak and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
