No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked AZS UMCS (14-6) beat 7th ranked Wisla Krakow (9-11) in Lublin 73-60 on Wednesday. The winners were led by American center Briana Day (193-95, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import point guard Alexis Peterson (173-95, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 17 points. Four AZS UMCS players scored in double figures. AZS UMCS's coach Krzysztof Szewczyk allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points and 7 assists by American point guard Chloe Wells (173-92, college: Duke, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Wisla Krakow. Forward Anna Jakubiuk (182-94) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. AZS UMCS have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 14-6 record. Wisla Krakow lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. AZS UMCS will meet Sleza Wroclaw (#6) on the road in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play against Politechnika Gdanska and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
