The game in Kopavogur was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Keflavik (13-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Breidablik (3-21). Keflavik did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-68 on Wednesday. Keflavik dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Breidablik's 28. Keflavik forced 19 Breidablik turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan Daniela Wallen (180-95, college: Oklahoma City) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and international guard Katla Gardarsdottir (161-99) who added 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. Keflavik's coach Jon Gudmundsson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Danni Williams (178, college: Texas) with 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Isabella Sigurdardottir (184-97) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Keflavik have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-8 record. Breidablik lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 21 games lost. Keflavik will meet at home league's leader Valur in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Breidablik will play against Haukar (#4) and hope to secure a win.
