NBB top team - Flamengo (21-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Sao Jose (5-20) 102-97. Flamengo made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game, while Sao Jose only scored six points from the stripe. Flamengo players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Sao Jose was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Olivinha Rodriguez (203-83) notched 21 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and the former international forward Rafael Mineiro (208-88) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Flamengo's coach Gustavo Conti allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
