A very close game took place in Limburg between Leeuwarden and BA Limburg. Eighth ranked Leeuwarden (7-17) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked BA Limburg (9-15). Leeuwarden managed to escape with a 1-point win 60-59 on Thursday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Polish-American guard Andy Mazurczak (188-94, college: UW-Parkside) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. British Samuel Idowu (201-97, college: St.Peter's) accounted for 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Trey Burch-Manning (198-95, college: S.Dakota) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and center Roel Aarts (206-93) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for BA Limburg in the defeat. BA Limburg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leeuwarden maintains eighth place with 7-17 record. BA Limburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Leeuwarden will meet at home league's second-placed Groningen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BA Limburg will play against Leiden (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
