Bottom-ranked Petah Tikva managed to get the third consecutive victory on Thursday night. This time they won against eighth-ranked Bnot Hertzeliya 80-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bnot Hertzeliya. Petah Tikva had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of her nine free throws !!!) and the other American import point guard Britney Jones (174-87, college: UAB, agency: LBM Management) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Petah Tikva players scored in double figures. At the losing side international point guard May Dayan (170-94, college: Temple) responded with 18 points and American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Petah Tikva have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position with 4-19 record. Bnot Hertzeliya at the other side keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Raanana. Petah Tikva will meet higher ranked M.Haifa (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bnot Hertzeliya will play against Raanana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
