Regular Season Round 25: Vestri - Sindri 91-85

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Sindri (2-16) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Vestri (13-7) 91-85. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vestri made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Sindri's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Vestri's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swedish guard Andree Michelsson (188-97) answered with 23 points and Bahamas-Canadian forward Robert Nortmann (206-87, college: Dalhousie) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sindri. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Vestri. They maintain fourth place with 13-7 record. Sindri lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. Vestri will again play against Sindri (#8) in the next round. Sindri will have a break next round.
