2Liga top team - Dziki Wwa (21-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Zubry (16-6) in Bialystok 103-89. Dziki Wwa made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Zubry was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Patryk Gospodarek (184-94, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 assists for the winners and swingman Michal Wojtynski (193-89) chipped in 15 points. Dziki Wwa's coach Piotr Bakun used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona St. CC) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dziki Wwa maintains first place in Group B with 21-2 record. Zubry lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Dziki Wwa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Warszawa AZS UW.
