Regular Season Round 21: Skrljevo - Osijek 96-89

We should mention about the upset which took place in Skrljevo, where higher ranked KK Vrijednosnice Osijek (11-10) lost to tenth ranked KK Skrljevo (7-14) in a road game 89-96 on Saturday. KK Skrljevo dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to KK Vrijednosnice Osijek's 44. KK Skrljevo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Nik Slavica (205-97, agency: PEPI SPORT) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American guard Mark Dorris (188-85, college: Marshall) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was naturalized Belgian swingman Andrija Coric (199-95) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Antonio Jordano (191-99, agency: XL Basketball Agency) scored 23 points. Five KK Skrljevo and four KK Vrijednosnice Osijek players scored in double figures. KK Skrljevo have a solid series of four victories in a row. KK Skrljevo moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Sonik Puntamika. Loser KK Vrijednosnice Osijek dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. KK Skrljevo will meet league's second-placed Cibona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KK Vrijednosnice Osijek will play against Sibenik (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
