Regular Season Round 22: Trefl - Slask 86-76

Everything could happen in Sopot at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Trefl and 7th ranked Slask had identical 11-10 record. This time Trefl used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Wroclaw 86-76 on Saturday night. American point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: EMU) scored 19 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Pawel Leonczyk (203-86) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Torin Dorn (196-95, college: NC State) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Danny Gibson (178-84, college: S.Indiana, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trefl maintains sixth position with 12-10 record. Newly promoted Slask keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with King. Trefl will meet league's second-placed Start in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Slask will play against the league's leader Stelmet Enea BC (#1) and hope to secure a win.
