Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Athens: Diagoras D. (#3) and Amyntas D. (#16). Diagoras D. (16-5) crushed visiting Amyntas D. (4-16) by 24 points 92-68. Diagoras D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Vaggelis Karaboulas (198-81) stepped up and scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Michalis Polytarchou (190-83) chipped in 21 points. Four Diagoras D. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Dimitrios Kompodietas (195-85) with 16 points and point guard Giorgos Kerasovitis (190-81) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Diagoras D.. They maintain third place with 16-5 record having just three points less than leader Charilaos TM. Amyntas D. lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.
