Regular Season Round 21: Lima-Horta - Ardoi 55-58

Fifth-ranked Lima-Horta (12-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Ardoi (17-4) in Barcelona. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 58-55. However their fans expected easier game. It was a good game for Argentinian center Diana Cabrera (184-93) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Amaya Gastaminza (189-91, college: Oregon St.) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Paula Tutusaus (186-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Vanesa Verbo (174-94) added 18 points in the effort for Lima-Horta. Lima-Horta's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ardoi have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with Sant Adria. Lima-Horta at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. Ardoi will play against league's leader Sant Adria at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lima-Horta will play against Picken Claret (#13) in Valencia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
