Rather predictable result when third ranked Koping Stars (24-8) won against at home 5th ranked Wetterbygden (17-15) 93-85. It looked good early as Wetterbygden took a 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Koping Stars took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. American forward Jeremy Combs (201-95, college: Texas Southern) scored 24 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Gary Blackston (188-96, college: PVAMU, agency: Two Points) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Koping Stars players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Ty Sabin (190-94, college: Ripon, agency: Duran International) responded with 26 points and 6 assists and American-Ivorian forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Koping Stars have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 24-8 record having just one point less than leader Boras. Wetterbygden at the other side keeps the fifth place with 15 games lost. Koping Stars will play against Nassjo (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Wetterbygden will play against Umea and hopes to get back on the winning track.
