Regular Season Round 22: Moycullen - Eanna 81-82

Eleventh-ranked Moycullen (7-14) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Eanna (13-8) in Galway on Saturday. The visitors from Dublin managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. American point guard Josh Wilson (190, college: Idaho Coll.) scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Marko Tomic (201, college: Barry) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Grant Olsson (196, college: Lincoln, MO) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Patrick Lyons (187-95, college: Dutchess CC) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 assists. Four Eanna and five Moycullen players scored in double figures. Eanna have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with UCD Marian and Templeogue. Loser Moycullen dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Eanna's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Dublin Templeogue.
