Regular Season Round 24: Almansa - Alicante 76-88

Very expected game when 11th ranked Almansa (10-14) lost at home to fourth ranked HLA Alicante (16-8) 88-76 on Saturday. It was a good game for forward Alejandro Galan (207-99) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU, agency: Players Group) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. Serbian Nikola Cvetinovic (203-88, college: Akron) replied with 21 points and American forward Stephen Maxwell (201-93, college: CSUN, agency: Two Points) added 24 points in the effort for Almansa. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. HLA Alicante have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Coruna. Almansa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. HLA Alicante will face Castello (#11) in Castellon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Almansa will play on the road against the league's leader Carramimbre in Valladolid and hope to win that game.
