Regular Season Round 37: Kauhajoki - Kobrat 86-70

Very expected game when 11th ranked Kobrat (10-25) lost on the road to third ranked Kauhajoki (27-9) 86-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kauhajoki. Kobrat managed to win second period 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kauhajoki dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kobrat's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Samuel Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) nailed 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Skylar Spencer (206-94, college: San Diego St.) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Kauhajoki players scored in double figures. Kauhajoki's coach Janne Koskimies used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Reggie Keely (204-91, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) came up with 29 points and 8 rebounds and forward Jordan Capps (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) added 19 points respectively for Kobrat in the defeat. Kauhajoki have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 27-9 record having just one point less than leader Seagulls. Loser Kobrat keeps the eleventh position with 25 games lost. Kauhajoki will meet BC Nokia (#6) on the road in the next round. Kobrat will play against Ura Basket (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
